California High School Basketball - Avenal falls to Tranquillity
(December 3, 2011: Tranquillity, CA 93668) The Tranquillity Tigers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Avenal Buccaneers to 48 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fresno for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Tranquillity will meet a Warriors team coming off a 55-43 non-league win over Arvin (Arvin, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 3-1.
The Buccaneers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Strathmore (Strathmore, CA). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Strathmore was defeated by McFarland (McFarland, CA), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
