California High School Basketball - La Costa Canyon holds off Parker
(January 16, 2012: Carlsbad, CA 92009) La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Parker Lancers (San Diego, CA), 60-57 in a non-league bout.
With the win, La Costa Canyon upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA) to play the Longhorns in a Avocado - West bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 8-11. Rancho Buena Vista won 73-62 in their recent non-league bout against Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA)
Next up, the Lancers play the Army-Navy Warriors (Carlsbad, CA) in a Coastal bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Parker will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 61-49 non-league loss to St. Augustine (San Diego, CA).
