(December 28, 2011: San Antonio, TX 78233) The Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX), 55-52 in Wednesday's non-league contest.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lanier for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Wagner will confront a Voks team coming off a 64-38 league win over Kennedy (San Antonio, TX). The Voks record now stands at 11-8.

The Tigers (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Warriors enter the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, South Grand Prairie was nudged by Amarillo (Amarillo, TX), 49-35, in a non-league contest.
