North Carolina High School Basketball - Western Harnett prevails Grays Creek
(January 24, 2012: Lillington, NC 27546) Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grays Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), 41-28 in a league bout.
With the win, Western Harnett upgrades its record to 2-14 on the season. The Eagles travel to Overhills (Spring Lake, NC) to play the Jaguars in a 3A Cape Fear Valley bout on Friday, January 27. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Overhills lost 54-39 in their recent league bout against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)
Next up, the Bears play the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a 3A Cape Fear Valley bout, on Friday, January 27. Grays Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 37-29 non-league loss to Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
