Oregon High School Basketball - South Medford thwarts Crater
(January 24, 2012: Central Point, OR 97502) The South Medford Panthers (Medford, OR) basketball felled the host Crater Comets (Central Point, OR), 63-44 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (17-0) will now prepare for their test against Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR). The Cavemen go into the 6A Southern Oregon test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Grants Pass went down by Canby (Canby, OR), 70-54, in a non-league test.
The Comets now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Medford for a 6A Southern Oregon test on Friday, January 27. Crater will clash with a Black Tornado squad coming off a 43-41 league loss to Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Black Tornado record now stands at 8-9.
