Florida High School Football - Cypress Bay sneaks past Flanagan
(September 22, 2011: Weston, FL 33332) The Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL) football edged the visiting Flanagan Falcons (Pembroke Pines, FL), 28-21 in Thursday's league bout.
In their next game, the Lightning face the Miramar Patriots (Miramar, FL) in a 8A District 12 bout, on Friday, September 30. Cypress Bay will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 47-0 league win over West Broward (Pembroke Pines, FL).
The Falcons (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Everglades (Miramar, FL). The Gators enter the 8A District 12 bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Everglades was nudged by Western (Davie, FL), 19-7, in a league bout.
