Arizona High School Basketball - Chaparral trounces North Canyon

(January 27, 2012: Scottsdale, AZ 85253) The Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) basketball crushed the visiting North Canyon Rattlers (Phoenix, AZ), 57-35 in Friday's league test.

The Firebirds (13-11) will now prepare for their test against Westwood (Mesa, AZ). The Warriors go into the I Section III test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Westwood walloped Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ), 64-55, in a league test.

The Rattlers now own a 1-19 record. They take the field next when they travel to Willow Canyon for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. North Canyon will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 57-43 league loss to Millennium (Goodyear, AZ). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-17.
