(September 24, 2011: Laredo, TX 78040) Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) backers went home happy Saturday as they witnessed their football squad notch a victory over the visiting United South Panthers (Laredo, TX), 31-14 in a league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 game, on Friday, September 30. Martin will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Mavericks come into the game with a 2-2 record after their 45-8 league win over Cigarroa (Laredo, TX).
The Panthers now hold a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eagle Pass for a 5A Region IV District 29 game on Friday, September 30. United South will battle a Eagles team coming off a 35-0 league loss to United (Laredo, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.
