(January 24, 2012: Fayetteville, NC 28303) The Douglas Byrd Eagles basketball team (Fayetteville, NC), was routed 66-34 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC)

The Wolverines now sport a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Lee for a 3A Cape Fear Valley battle on Friday, January 27. Westover will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 61-43 league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-1.

The Eagles (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, South View was routed by Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 56-47, in a league battle.
