Connecticut High School Ice Hockey - Avon tipped by Tri-Town
(February 13, 2010: Ellington, CT ) In Saturday's non-league test, the host Tri-Town ice hockey team scored a tight 5-3 win over the Avon Falcons.
The (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Housatonic/Northwestern (Falls Village, CT). The Mountaineers enter the Northern test with a 4-11 record. In their last test, Housatonic/Northwestern by Bolton/Coventry/Lyman Memorial (Bolton, CT), 5-2, in a non-league test.
Next up, the Falcons encounter the Shelton Gaels (Shelton, CT) in a non-league test, on Thursday, February 18. Avon will attempt to advance on its 9-6 season record. The Gaels enter the test with a 3-12 record after their 5-2 league loss to Hand (Madison, CT).
