California High School Basketball - Taft fells Shafter

(February 1, 2008: Taft, CA 93268) Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), 60-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Taft upgrades its record to 13-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Wasco (Wasco, CA) to play the Tigers in a South Sequoia bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Wasco won 51-44 in their recent league bout against Arvin (Arvin, CA)

Next up, the Generals play the Tehachapi Warriors (Tehachapi, CA) in a South Sequoia bout, on Thursday, February 7. Shafter will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 60-53 league win over Arvin (Arvin, CA).
