(January 19, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85705) In Thursday's non-league outing, the Mountain View Mountain Lions (Tucson, AZ) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Amphitheater Panthers (Tucson, AZ), by a count of 74-31.

The Mountain Lions (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Rincon (Tucson, AZ). The Rangers go into the I Section II outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, Rincon was crushed by Tucson (Tucson, AZ), 65-16, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 6-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Flowing Wells for a II Section I bout on Friday, January 20. Amphitheater will play a Caballeros squad coming off a 48-17 non-league win over Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ). The Caballeros record now stands at 18-2.
