Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Oil City knocked off by Slippery Rock
(February 7, 2012: Oil City, PA 16301) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) and the host Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), saw Slippery Rock's basketball squad knock off Oil City by a score of 66-53.
With the victory, Slippery Rock improves its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Farrell (Farrell, PA) to play the Steelers in a District 10 Region 6 challenge on Friday, February 10. The Steelers come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Farrell won 75-68 in their recent league challenge against Meadville (Meadville, PA)
Next up, the Oilers play the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) in a District 10 Region 6 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Oil City will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record.
