(October 29, 2010: Big Stone Gap, VA 24219) The Powell Valley Vikings thwarted the visiting Pound Wildcats football team by a count of 48-21 in Friday's league outing.
With the win, Powell Valley upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Appalachia (Appalachia, VA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a A Lonesome Pine outing on Friday, November 5. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 5-4. Appalachia lost 27-16 in their recent league outing against Kelly (Wise, VA)
With the loss, Pound moves to 2-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Clintwood (Clintwood, VA) to encounter the Green Wave in a A Lonesome Pine outing on Friday, November 5. The Green Wave go into the outing with a record of 9-0. Clintwood won 31-0 in their recent league outing against Burton (Norton, VA)
