Mississippi High School Basketball - Tupelo holds off Pontotoc

(November 29, 2011: Pontotoc, MS 38863) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) and the host Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS), witnessed Tupelo's basketball squad tip Pontotoc by a margin of 56-51.

The Golden Wave (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Oxford (Oxford, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Oxford got by Ashland (Ashland, MS), 78-52, in a non-league test.

The Warriors now own a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hickory Flat for a non-league test on Friday, December 2. Pontotoc will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 58-57 non-league loss to Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 4-4.
