New York High School Basketball - Panas prevails Beacon

(January 25, 2008: Beacon, NY 12508) Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY), 51-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Panas upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Panthers host Peekskill (Peekskill, NY) to play the Red Devils in a Section 1 II - North bout on Thursday, January 31. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 16-0. Peekskill won 74-53 in their recent league bout against Ossining (Ossining, NY)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Burke Catholic Eagles (Goshen, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 26. Beacon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record.
