Ohio High School Basketball - Shelby overwhelms Columbian

(February 4, 2012: Shelby, OH 44875) Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) and the visiting Columbian Tornadoes (Tiffin, OH), saw Shelby's basketball squad trounce Columbian by a score of 70-48.

With the victory, Shelby improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Whippets travel to Galion (Galion, OH) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Galion lost 51-35 in their recent league challenge against Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky, OH)

Next up, the Tornadoes battle the Willard Crimson Flashes (Willard, OH) in a Northern Ohio challenge, on Friday, February 10. Columbian will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Crimson Flashes come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 75-71 league win over Bellevue (Bellevue, OH).
