(January 20, 2012: Fayetteville, NC 28304) In Friday's league match, the host Seventy-First Falcons basketball team scored a tight 67-64 victory over the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls.
The Falcons now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cape Fear for a 4A Mid-South battle on Tuesday, January 24. Seventy-First will battle a Colts team coming off a 69-57 league loss to South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Colts record now stands at 4-14.
The Golden Bulls (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans come into the 4A Mid-South battle with a 18-1 record. In their last battle, Pine Forest edged South View (Hope Mills, NC), 70-53, in a league battle.
