Texas High School Basketball - North Mesquite overwhelmed by DeSoto

(January 31, 2012: De Soto, TX 75115) The DeSoto Eagles basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting North Mesquite Stallions to 30 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 23-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lee for a 5A Region II District 11 contest on Friday, February 3. DeSoto will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 58-55 league loss to Horn (Mesquite, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 22-8.

Next up, the Stallions encounter the Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region II District 11 bout, on Friday, February 3. North Mesquite will attempt to upgrade on its 4-24 season record. The Skeeters go into the bout with a 15-9 record after their 54-35 league win over Longview (Longview, TX).
