(December 30, 2011: Fayetteville, NC 28306) The Westover Wolverines basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Jack Britt Buccaneers to 48 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wolverines now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapel Hill for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 4. Westover will confront a Tigers team coming off a 75-71 non-league win over Broughton (Raleigh, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 13-0.

The Buccaneers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls enter the 4A Mid-South contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, E.E. Smith was nudged by Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC), 65-60, in a non-league contest.
