(September 28, 2007: Lexington, AL 35648) The Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL) football defeated the visiting Central Wildcats (Florence, AL), 23-12 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Golden Bears face the Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL) in a 3A Region 8 bout, on Friday, October 5. Lexington will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 40-21 non-league win over Winston County (Double Springs, AL).
The Wildcats (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Haleyville (Haleyville, AL). The Lions come into the 4A Region 8 game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Haleyville toppled Lynn (Lynn, AL), 27-14, in a non-league game.
