Mayfield Cardinals football squad scored a good
16-6 victory over the
Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado.
In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the
Fulton County Pilots (Hickman, KY) in a
1A District 1 match, on Friday, October 5.
Mayfield will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Pilots enter the match with a 2-3 record after their
34-14 non-league win over
South Fulton (South Fulton, TN).
The Blue Tornado (2-4) will now prepare for their match against
McLean County (Calhoun, KY). The Cougars come into the
3A District 1 test with a 4-1 record. In their last test,
McLean County was defeated by
Grayson County (Leitchfield, KY),
34-16, in a non-league test.
