Texas High School Basketball - Denison can't hold off Lake Highlands

(December 30, 2011: Dallas, TX 75238) The Lake Highlands Wildcats basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Denison Yellowjackets to 49 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to Sunset for a 5A Region II District 9 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lake Highlands will meet a Bison team coming off a 61-58 non-league win over Kimball (Dallas, TX). The Bison record now stands at 6-8.

The Yellowjackets (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers come into the 4A Region II District 13 contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Texas was nudged by Malvern (Malvern, AR), 57-46, in a non-league contest.
