(February 3, 2009: Fort Myers, FL 33912) The Southwest Florida Christian Kings (Fort Myers, FL) basketball nipped the visiting Evangelical Christian Sentinels (Fort Myers, FL), 39-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Kings (6-15) will now prepare for their contest against Neumann (Naples, FL). The Celtics enter the non-league contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Neumann nudged Immokalee (Immokalee, FL), 40-38, in a non-league contest.

Fourth Quarter Summary:
After 3 quarters of play the game is 30-26 ECS. The Kings come out quickly scoring 5 straight points, only to have ECS regain the lead at 32-31. A pull up three on the run by Holly Gray puts the King's up for good with 3:26 left to go - 34-32. ECS would not score again as the Kings pulled the ball out, forcing ECS to foul them. Tabitha Hillman, Meridith Doerstling and the lone senior Amanda Ferrell connected 6 out of 7 free throws to seal the game for the King's - the first girls BB district win in history and the FIRST EVER defeat of a Girls/Boys ECS BB team!
