Texas High School Basketball - Meridian bounced by Western Hills
(November 19, 2011: Fort Worth, TX 76116) Western Hills Cougars (Fort Worth, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX), 59-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Western Hills upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Carter-Riverside (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Eagles in a 4A Region I District 6 bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Carter-Riverside lost 30-27 in their recent non-league bout against Poly (Fort Worth, TX)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Axtell Longhorns (Axtell, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 22. Meridian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 41-33 non-league loss to Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX).
