California High School Basketball - Twentynine Palms holds off Yucca Valley

(January 11, 2012: Yucca Valley, CA 92284) Twentynine Palms Wildcats (Twentynine Palms, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Yucca Valley Trojans (Yucca Valley, CA), 62-58 in a league test.

The Wildcats (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Desert Hot Springs (Desert Hot Springs, CA). The Golden Eagles go into the De Anza test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, Desert Hot Springs was tipped by Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA), 94-64, in a league test.

The Trojans now own a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Shadow Hills for a De Anza test on Friday, January 13. Yucca Valley will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 49-48 league win over Desert Mirage (Thermal, CA). The Knights record now stands at 6-10.
