Kentucky High School Basketball - Hickman County can't hold off Ballard Memorial
(January 31, 2012: Barlow, KY 42024) The Ballard Memorial Bombers basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Hickman County Falcons to 48 in the Bombers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bombers now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mayfield for a District 3 contest on Friday, February 3. Ballard Memorial will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 59-54 league win over St. Mary (Paducah, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 12-8.
The Falcons (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Murray (Murray, KY). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 9-12 record. In their last contest, Murray was nudged by St. Mary (Paducah, KY), 59-57, in a non-league contest.
