Alaska High School Basketball - South tipped by Ketchikan
(January 21, 2012: Anchorage, AK 99516) The Ketchikan Kings basketball team scored 61 points and held the host South Wolverines to 58 in the Kings non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Kings now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thunder Mountain for a Southeast - 4A contest on Friday, January 27. Ketchikan will confront a Falcons team coming off a 86-13 non-league win over Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK). The Falcons record now stands at 4-9.
Next up, the Wolverines play the Chugiak Mustangs (Eagle River, AK) in a Cook Inlet bout, on Tuesday, January 24. South will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 55-39 non-league loss to Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK).
