(February 27, 2009: Fort Myers, FL 33913) The Riverdale Raiders routed the host Gateway Charter Griffins softball squad by a final score of 16-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Raiders (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Estero (Estero, FL). The Wildcats go into the 4A District 11 battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Estero notched a victory over Clewiston (Clewiston, FL), 8-3, in a league battle.

The Griffins now possess a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Lely for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 3. Gateway Charter will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Neumann (Naples, FL). The Trojans record now stands at 4-1.
