Pennsylvania High School Football - Mid Valley sneaks past Hanover Area

(September 16, 2011: Throop, PA 18512) The Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) football edged the visiting Hanover Area Hawks (Hanover Township, PA), 34-27 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. Mid Valley will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 54-6 non-league win over Montrose (Montrose, PA).

The Hawks (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Warriors enter the Wyoming Valley 2A/1A bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Wyoming Area nudged Lake-Lehman (Lehman, PA), 43-10, in a league bout.
