(February 19, 2009: Clearwater, FL 33756) The Calvary Christian Warriors (Clearwater, FL) baseball trounced the visiting Admiral Farragut Bluejackets (St. Petersburg, FL), 14-5 in Thursday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Warriors play the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder (Sarasota, FL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 21. Calvary Christian will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Thunder enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Admiral Farragut (St. Petersburg, FL).

The Bluejackets now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shorecrest Prep for a 2A District 11 contest on Friday, March 6.
Scoring Summary

In their first home game of the season the Warriors defeated Admiral Farragut 14-5. After falling behind 2-0 and 4-3, Calvary finally took a 6-5 lead on an Aaron Watson double and Derek Albanese’s 3rd hit of the night. Calvary then exploded with 8 runs on 7 hits in the 6th on a 2 singles each by Jeff Johnson and Andrew Davis, and singles by Aaron Watson, Josh Conrad, Alex Zambrano, and sacrifice flies by Derek Albanese and Brett Zitzelberg. Andrew Davis pitched another 5 strong innings in earning the win and Aaron Watson got his first save in 2 stellar innings of relief. The Warriors are now 3-1 for the season.
