Florida High School Basketball - Olympia falls to Montverde Academy

(December 10, 2011: Montverde, FL 34756) The Montverde Academy Eagles basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Olympia Titans to 50 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salesian for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Montverde Academy will meet a Pride team coming off a 51-49 non-league win over Jesuit (Carmichael, CA). The Pride record now stands at 6-0.

The Titans (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wekiva (Apopka, FL). The Mustangs enter the 8A District 3 contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Wekiva was defeated by Dr. Phillips (Orlando, FL), 62-53, in a non-league contest.
