California High School Football - Southwest drops to University City

(September 16, 2011: El Centro, CA 92243) In Friday's non-league game, the University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) football team knocked off the host Southwest Eagles (El Centro, CA), by a final score of 28-7.

The Centurions (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Serra (San Diego, CA). The Conquistadors come into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Serra toppled El Capitan (Lakeside, CA), 37-30, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holtville for a non-league game on Friday, September 23. Southwest will battle a Vikings team coming off a 34-0 non-league win over Douglass (Los Angeles, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-0.
