Texas High School Basketball - Loop falls to Wellman-Union

(December 19, 2011: Loop, TX 79342) The Wellman-Union Wildcats basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Loop Longhorns to 48 in the Wildcats league triumph on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hart for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Wellman-Union will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 61-23 non-league loss to Valley (Turkey, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-11.

The Longhorns (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 12-3 record.
