(November 18, 2008: North Fort Myers, FL 33903) Mariner Tritons (Cape Coral, FL) fans were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host North Fort Myers Red Knights (North Fort Myers, FL), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tritons battle the Sarasota Sailors (Sarasota, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, November 24. Mariner will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record.

The Red Knights now have a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to East Lee County for a District 5A-15 challenge on Thursday, November 20. North Fort Myers will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Baker (Cape Coral, FL). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-3.

First Quarter Summary:
we scored quickly, something we have been struggling with as of late. tyler took a long pass from juan rincon and got behind the defense, the north goalie came out for the challenge but tyler beat him to the ball and shot into the net for the early lead. north stiffened a little and created a few opportunities themselves but renato was up for the test.
Second Quarter Summary:
second half was more of the same, the boys controlled the tempo and opportunities but were unable to convert, it was until late in the half when Matt Lott, who had sat out all the 60 minutes for missing practice, came in and took on a few north defenders and shot the ball which deflected of one of north's players for the second goal.
