Texas High School Basketball - Decatur falls to Aledo

(December 10, 2011: Decatur, TX 76234) The Aledo Bearcats basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Decatur Eagles to 40 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bearcats now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Birdville for a 4A Region I District 5 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Aledo will meet a Hawks team coming off a 50-45 non-league loss to Ponder (Ponder, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 7-7.

The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Prosper (Prosper, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Prosper ran past Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX), 38-37, in a non-league contest.
