South Carolina High School Basketball - Goose Creek prevails Stratford

(January 27, 2012: Goose Creek, SC 29445) Goose Creek Gators (Goose Creek, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Stratford Knights (Goose Creek, SC), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Goose Creek upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Gators host West Ashley (Charleston, SC) to play the Wildcats in a AAAA Region VII bout on Friday, February 3. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-5.

Next up, the Knights play the Wando Warriors (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in a AAAA Region VII bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Stratford will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 53-52 league win over West Ashley (Charleston, SC).
