(January 24, 2012: Hattiesburg, MS 39402) The Meridian Wildcats basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Oak Grove Warriors to 38 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hattiesburg for a 6A Region 5 contest on Friday, January 27. Meridian will meet a Tigers team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over South Jones (Ellisville, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 16-6.

The Warriors (10-15) will now prepare for their contest against Gulfport (Gulfport, MS). The Admirals enter the non-league contest with a 22-4 record. In their last contest, Gulfport ran past Hancock (Kiln, MS), 60-50, in a league contest.
