Texas High School Basketball - San Marcos topped by Lovejoy
(December 8, 2011: Lucas, TX 75002) The Lovejoy Leopards basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting San Marcos Rattlers to 23 in the Leopards non-league victory on Thursday.
The Leopards now sport a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Kennedale for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Lovejoy will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 65-49 non-league win over Beaumont Central (Beaumont, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-3.
The Rattlers (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Leon (Jewett, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Leon toppled Wimberley (Wimberley, TX), 62-36, in a non-league bout.
