(January 4, 2012: San Jose, CA 95120) Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA), 38-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Piedmont Hills upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Pirates host Leigh (San Jose, CA) to play the Longhorns in a Mount Hamilton bout on Friday, January 6. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Leigh won 62-55 in their recent league bout against Willow Glen (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Santa Teresa Saints (San Jose, CA) in a Mount Hamilton bout, on Friday, January 6. Leland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 50-44 league win over Oak Grove (San Jose, CA).
