Mississippi High School Basketball - Warren Central can't hold off Northwest Rankin
(November 26, 2011: Brandon, MS 39232) The Northwest Rankin Cougars basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Warren Central Vikings to 71 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pearl for a non-league contest on Wednesday, November 30. Northwest Rankin will meet a Pirates team coming off a 55-52 non-league win over Forest Hill (Jackson, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 5-0.
The Vikings (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Quitman nudged Union (Union, MS), 62-53, in a non-league match.
