Florida High School Basketball - Collier fells Gulf Coast

(January 6, 2009: Naples, FL 34109) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Collier Cougars (Naples, FL) and the visiting Gulf Coast Sharks (Naples, FL), saw Collier's basketball squad overcome Gulf Coast by a score of 68-59.

With the victory, Collier improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Naples (Naples, FL) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 7. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-7. Naples lost 61-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Neumann (Naples, FL)

Next up, the Sharks play the East Lee County Jaguars (Lehigh Acres, FL) in a 5A District 15 challenge, on Friday, January 9. Gulf Coast will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
