California High School Basketball - Faith Baptist topples Oakwood
(February 1, 2012: Canoga Park, CA 91304) In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Faith Baptist Contenders (Canoga Park, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting Oakwood Gorillas (North Hollywood, CA), by a margin of 42-34.
The Contenders (5-10) will now prepare for their outing against Santa Clarita Christian (Canyon Country, CA). The Cardinals go into the Heritage outing with a 5-13 record. In their last outing, Santa Clarita Christian gained a win over Hillcrest Christian (Granada Hills, CA), 57-32, in a league outing.
The Gorillas now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Highland Hall for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3. Oakwood will confront a Hawks team coming off a 73-54 league loss to AGBU (Pasadena, CA). The Hawks record now stands at 4-9.
