Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Oil City falls to Grove City
(January 21, 2012: Grove City, PA 16127) The Grove City Eagles basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Oil City Oilers to 64 in the Eagles league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Slippery Rock for a District 10 Region 6 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Grove City will meet a Rockets team coming off a 55-42 league win over Titusville (Titusville, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 3-9.
The Oilers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Meadville (Meadville, PA). The Bulldogs enter the District 10 Region 6 contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Meadville was defeated by Hickory (Hermitage, PA), 68-54, in a league contest.
