Kentucky High School Basketball - St. Mary prevails Ballard Memorial
(January 6, 2012: Paducah, KY 42003) St. Mary Vikings (Paducah, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ballard Memorial Bombers (Barlow, KY), 67-58 in a league bout.
With the win, St. Mary upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Vikings host Graves County (Mayfield, KY) to play the Eagles in a District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Graves County won 55-42 in their recent non-league bout against Agape Christian (Energy, IL)
Next up, the Bombers play the Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY) in a District 3 game, on Tuesday, January 10. Ballard Memorial will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the game with a 8-6 record after their 63-61 league loss to Graves County (Mayfield, KY).
