(January 16, 2009: Lakeland, FL 33809) Lake Gibson Braves (Lakeland, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL), 58-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Lake Gibson upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Braves host Kathleen (Lakeland, FL) to encounter the Devils /Red in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 21. The Devils /Red go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Kathleen won 49-32 in their recent league bout against Spoto (Riverview, FL)

Next up, the Thunder encounter the Lake Wales Highlanders (Lake Wales, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 17. Lake Region will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 19-2 record after their 48-47 league loss to Kathleen (Lakeland, FL).

the lady thunder gotr off to another slow start playing wityhout our leading score and point guard the lady thunder manged to score only six points in the first quarter.
Second Quarter Summary:
the lady thunder came out much better in this quarter much more focus and determined. and trield the lady Braves at the end of the quater by a small margin.
Third Quarter Summary:
the second half starte dmuch better for the lady thunder. as the lady thunder outscored the lady braves 13-10 in the third quarter still trailing in the game as we had top apply full court press to get back in the game as a result we caused the braves to turn the ball over quite often.
Fourth Quarter Summary:
as a result ofhaving nto press the entire thirsd quarter the lady thunder ran out of gas and was outscoreed 24-9 in this quarter. the lady thunder did not give up they just ran out of gas.
