Kansas High School Basketball - Caldwell can't hold off Cedar Vale/Dexter
(January 14, 2012: Caldwell, KS 67022) The Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Caldwell Bluejays to 38 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Spartans now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Udall for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Cedar Vale/Dexter will meet a Eagles team coming off a 68-63 league win over Flinthills (Rosalia, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 9-1.
The Bluejays (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Elk Valley (Longton, KS). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Elk Valley was nudged by Central (Burden, KS), 58-21, in a non-league contest.
