Connecticut High School Football - Stamford nipped by Ridgefield

(October 1, 2011: Stamford, CT 06902) The Ridgefield Tigers held off the host Stamford Black Knights football team by a count of 34-28 in Saturday's league outing.

With the win, Ridgefield upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Wilton (Wilton, CT) to encounter the Warriors in a Fairfield County outing on Thursday, October 6. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 3-0. Wilton won 42-6 in their recent league outing against Bassick (Bridgeport, CT)

With the loss, Stamford moves to 1-2 on the season. The Black knights host St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT) to encounter the Cadets in a Fairfield County test on Thursday, October 6. The Cadets come into the test with a record of 0-3. St. Joseph lost 31-7 in their recent league test against Darien (Darien, CT)
