North Carolina High School Basketball - Community Christian holds off Trinity Christian
(January 16, 2012: Fayetteville, NC 28311) Community Christian Cyclones (Wilson, NC) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Trinity Christian Crusaders (Fayetteville, NC), 62-57 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Community Christian moves its record to 19-3 on the year. The Cyclones host Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC) to face the Warriors in a non-league game on Thursday, January 19. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 5-12. Lawrence Academy won 75-29 in their recent league game against Albemarle School (Elizabeth City, NC)
With the defeat, Trinity Christian moves to 8-5 on the year. The Crusaders host Macdonald Academy (Red Springs, NC) to face the Cougars in a NCISAA Southeastern game on Friday, January 20. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 7-3.
