Arizona High School Basketball - Red Mountain edges Gilbert

(January 6, 2012: Gilbert, AZ 85234) The Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) basketball nipped the host Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), 56-55 in Friday's league test.

The Mountain Lions (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Dobson (Mesa, AZ). The Mustangs go into the I Section II test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Dobson was tipped by Cibola (Yuma, AZ), 66-59, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maryvale for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Gilbert will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 49-48 league win over Camelback (Phoenix, AZ). The Panthers record now stands at 2-11.
